T-SAT network channels on Airtel DTH

Hyderabad: T-SAT network channels have taken another step forward in their broadcasts. T-SAT Vidya and Nipuna channels will be aired on Bharti Airtel DTH, one of the communication giants. Airtel on Thursday signed an agreement with the T-SAT network to allow broadcasts on channel numbers 948 and 949.

The T-SAT network channels have already signed deals with various companies and have over four lakh subscribers on YouTube providing digital broadcasts through the satellite, a social media platform. In view of the COVID epidemic, Airtel Network has agreed to broadcast T-SAT channels education and expertise to provide online education to Telangana students. Airtel, the third-largest mobile operator in the country, has 10 lakh subscribers through DTH and 1.5 crores through Xstream across Telangana and is spread across 18 countries. Serving via wireless, mobile, fixed-line, high speed, DTH, it had 423 million customers nationwide by March 2020. As a result, broadcasts of T-SAT network channels are widespread across the country.

The agreement will directly benefit millions of school, intermediate, degree and postgraduate students in line with the recent Telangana government cabinet decision.
